The question I get most about Easy Breezy isn't about the beach. It is: "Do we have to rent the whole thing?" You don't. Easy Breezy is a duplex, two mirror-image homes under one roof, and most of the planning comes down to choosing how much of it your group needs. Here is how it works, so you can pick the right size before you ask me for dates.
How the duplex is laid out
Each side is a full house in its own right. Nine bedrooms, nine and a half baths, its own kitchen, its own heated private pool, its own elevator and laundry, and a garage and covered parking underneath. The second level holds the kitchen, the big living room, a king suite with a private bath and the deck with the pool. The third and fourth levels hold the other bedrooms, mostly king suites, several with balcony access, plus a queen bedroom and a bunk nook on each floor. Three levels of balconies face the Gulf. The other side is the same layout, flipped.
That mirror layout is the whole point. Nobody on one side is a guest of the other. Each side has what a group needs to run its own week.
One side: up to 22 guests
Most groups who stay with us are closer to twenty than forty, and one side is built for them. It sleeps 22, has nine and a half baths, and gives you a private pool and your own kitchen. If you are weighing it against our other house, Lemonshello sleeps up to twenty in eight bedrooms in Gulf Shores; the 20-guest guide compares how the two tiers feel in practice.
A five-bedroom half
In select seasons a side can also be booked as a five-bedroom half, which sleeps around twelve. It suits a mid-size family that wants the Fort Morgan beach and a pool without paying for rooms it won't use. Availability for the half-side option varies with the season, so check the dates you want on the Easy Breezy page or send them to me.
The whole house: 44 guests
Book both sides and you have 18 bedrooms, 19 baths, two kitchens and two heated pools for up to 44 people, who can spread out without splitting up. This is the weddings and reunions configuration, and it is where the logistics matter most: the guide to a 40-person beach trip covers bathrooms, kitchens and parking, and the reunion guide covers dates, money and who sleeps where.
Which one fits your group
Around twelve or fewer: ask about a five-bedroom half if the season allows it; otherwise one side is plenty of room.
Thirteen to twenty-two: one side. You get the pool, the kitchen and the balconies, and you are not paying for a second house you don't need.
Twenty-three to forty-four: the whole duplex. If your count is hovering right around twenty-two or twenty-three, tell me and we will work out which side of that line you really sit on.
Two practical notes. Fort Morgan is about twenty minutes down a quiet beach road from Gulf Shores; if you are still deciding between the two, the Fort Morgan vs Gulf Shores comparison is the honest version. And if you are eyeing a peak week, how far ahead to book is worth a read before you wait.
Common questions
Can you rent just one side of Easy Breezy? Yes. Easy Breezy is a duplex and each side has nine bedrooms, nine and a half baths and its own heated pool, sleeping 22. East and West book separately for most of the year.
How many people does the whole house sleep? Both sides together sleep 44 across 18 bedrooms and 19 baths, with two kitchens, two heated pools and an elevator on each side.
Is there a smaller option than a full side? In select seasons each side can be booked as a five-bedroom half, which suits a mid-size family of around twelve. The home page lists whether that option is open for your dates.
Who can book Easy Breezy? It is a family house. We are not able to rent to groups under the age of 25.
If you tell me your dates and head count, I will tell you which configuration is open and what it costs. Send me a note or look at the Easy Breezy page for live availability.
